Whats on your schedule for 2013?

As we are entering the last weeks of 2012 (and heres hoping it doesn’t end on the 21st), it is really time to start thinking and planning for your success in 2013. You know I am a big supporter of networking and continuing education. Perhaps 2013 is the year for you to get off your tush and get involved and see how you can advance your career in the meantime. If you are a visual person, you might benefit from a 2013 Year at a Glance Calendar. It is important to keep track of your goals that you plan to accomplish. We all know how time flies and sometimes it can help you stay on track to see it all right in front of you. If you are involved in organizations or planning to get involved, it is also a great idea to plan out which events you are going to attend. Unless you have unlimited free time (and money) you probably need to pick and choose. I do this by putting the events on a calendar such as a 2013 Year at a Glance Calendar so I can see where my time is really being spent. That way, I can prioritize what networking or educational events I can realistically go to.  The funny thing is, I’m a technogeek as anyone who knows me knows. I keep my calendar on my phone which is synced to my computer but I rarely look at it. I’m always caught off guard by upcoming stuff until I started using a fantastic full size wall calendar.  I already have events and speaking engagements on the books as late as April and I really haven’t started thinking about 2013 yet!!

I will tell you, that I accomplished amazing things by getting more involved. If you are ready to take the plunge, send me an email and lets see how you can get started!!

Linda, you are always the most generous sharer of helpful information. You are a Godsend to paralegal support staff in Florida and to the attorneys with whom we collaborate to better the lives of clients.

Although I recently retired from full-time paralegal employment, part of me will always be a Personal Injury Paralegal. I DO INTEND to pursue further legal and technical education in 2013, and to market myself part-time as a medical paralegal (review of medical records, networking with experts and collaborating with audio-visual artists for attorneys) so, funnel me all of the 2013 continuing ed agenda!!!!

Happy Holidays. May they be extra blessed for you and for your family.
