OMG… Did you hear? What happened???
I’ve gotten quite a few emails and text messages over the past week which have started out like this: “I just heard from someone that…..”…. or “OMG, what happened???” so… if you haven’t heard… now you have it right from the source….
Last Monday, I gave my two weeks notice at Arnstein & Lehr, LLP. I have been working there since October 2010 and have really enjoyed my time there. It is a great firm and I highly recommend it and will continue to do so. Nothing bad happened, I wasn’t fired, there wasn’t a scandal, things didn’t turn sour, go down hill, or whatever else someone possibly thinks it could be. It’s very simple. I had an opportunity for a different position and I took it. *GASP* I know… Like I said, I really love Arnstein, I have loved working there, I really enjoyed the work and the people and I am going to miss everyone. I wasn’t out pounding the pavement for another job. That being said, an opportunity presented itself to me and I took it. Today was my last day. I’m officially “unemployed” until Tuesday (since Monday is a holiday)…. eeeeeeeeek!
No, I’m not going to be a legal recruiter. And no, I’m not going to be a freelance paralegal working from home. As tempting as that would be, I like having health insurance and other benefits. Where you ask? Ahhh not so fast, you’ll have to stay tuned for that tidbit of information.
My new adventure remains a secret until next week, so stay tuned for more details! 🙂 And what does this mean for the website? only bigger and better things I promise.
What? A secret, ….dont you love us any more?
