Job Opening: Human Resource/Payroll Specialist – Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Human Resources and Payroll processing experience required. The candidate will reside in our Fort Lauderdale office and must be willing to travel to other offices as necessary. The candidate will report to our Director of Operations and Finance.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct employee on-boarding and off-boarding
  • Administer all benefits and coordinate annual open enrollment meetings, and assist all employees with the election of benefits
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves/ absences and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Assist in the development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Maintain employee files and records in Paycom and FileSite
  • Enhance job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying for new perks and benefits
  • Daily review of timecards to ensure all proper time punches
  • Calculating overtime hours and reviewing deductions for each payroll

Requirements

  • HR Generalist experience required
  • Strong experience with Payroll
  • Paycom experience preferred
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
  • Some working knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Aptitude in problem-solving
  • Desire to work as a team with a result-driven approach
  • BS/BA in Business administration or relevant field preferred
  • HR training will be a plus
