Florida Bar Fraudulent Email Alert: Notice of Past Due License Renewal
The Florida Bar warns its members about a fraudulent email with the subject “Notice of Past Due License Renewal #00000” that is being distributed. We advise members not to click on any links contained within the email and to delete it immediately. We suspect that this email contains a link to a malicious software known as Ransomware.
The fraudulent email is purportedly signed by a Renewal Coordinator from The Florida Bar and it informs members that their Florida Bar License is “past due for renewal.”
If you have questions about the status of your annual membership fees, please contact the Membership Records Dept. at 800-342-8060, ext. 5832 or e-mail at memberaddress@flabar.org. Members can check the status of their annual membership fees by logging in to their unique My Florida Bar page. Annual membership fees were due on July 1, 2016, and past due after Aug. 15, 2016.

Dear MEMBER,
This notice is to inform you that your Florida Bar License (#000000) is past due for renewal as of JULY 1, 2016.Feesrecieved after AUGUST 31, 2016 are considered delinquent. A delinquent attorney is prohibited from the practice of law in Florida and from rendering advice on matters of Florida law until all fees, a $50.00 late fee, a $150.00 reinstatement fee and a petition for reinstatement are received and the reinstatement petition is approved by the Executive Director.
Do not mail in your renewal fees to us. All renewals and late fees must be paid online through our Renewal Center [link].
