How to Create your NEW Florida Bar Portal Account for Paralegals AND Attorneys!

In case you missed this important news from The Florida Bar regarding Upgrading To New Member Portal here it is:

The Florida Bar is migrating to a new member portal that Florida lawyers will use to electronically interact with the Bar.

The new MyFloridaBar portal will help members more easily conduct membership and e-commerce activities with the Bar. It will be phased in throughout the year, and will be used for the 2017 annual membership fee season. Members will receive an initial welcome email from the Bar explaining how the new system will work.

The new system, however, will require a new username and password, as the login members currently use when accessing services through the Bar website cannot be transferred over to the new cloud-based system, according to Richard Ramsay, director of the Bar’s IT Department.

Beginning April 3, members are encouraged to log in to the Bar’s website and follow the instructions displayed, titled “Log in to the New MyFloridaBar,” to create a unique username and activate an account in the new system for meeting registrations, continuing education purchases and credit posting, fee and section membership payments, and other e-commerce activities with The Florida Bar.

To create your new account, simply log in to your EXISTING account. If you can’t remember your bar number to login, look yourself up in the directory.

When you login, you will notice a pink/red bar across the top that says “Log in to the new MyFloridaBar, your action is required”. Click on the link and a page will pop up…

Enter your desired e-mail address and click UPDATE. This e-mail address can be any e-mail address. It doesn’t need to be your existing e-mail address on your profile. HOWEVER, whatever e-mail address you use as your user name will be replaced as your work e-mail address in your profile, so, if you are using a different e-mail address make sure you change it back once you login.

You will receive an e-mail containing a link you need to click on to create your password.
