As paralegals, part of our job is to e-file documents with the courts. Of course, one of the reasons clients retain attorneys in the divorce process (or any legal process, really) is the convenience of being able to rely on the attorney or firm staff to contact courts, or e-file documents on the behalf of clients. The content of this Tools of the Trade is centered on e-filing through the paralegal’s lens.

Mark Kroll earned his B.A. degree from Coe College and has been a paralegal at Broxterman Alicks McFarlane PC (BAM) since June 2016. While still in school, Mr. Kroll spent a semester completing an urban studies program in Chicago where he interned at the Lawyers Committee for Better Housing (LCBH), a non-profit law firm dedicated to providing pro-bono legal services to low-income renters and tenants in Chicago. His paralegal experience comes exclusively from working at BAM PC and LCBH. Mr. Kroll has excelled as a paralegal and is responsible for managing the case load of one of the shareholders at BAM. He is excellent with case management, client management, training new paralegals, and drafting motions.
